The upfront fare of an Avalon vacation includes a spacious, river-view stateroom -- Avalon's accommodations are among the largest in the industry -- plus Wi-Fi access, sparkling wine at breakfast, regional beer and wine at dinner and unlimited specialty coffees. Avalon has released its 2015 preview featuring the line's most popular cruises, including itineraries in France, a top-selling destination for the line. In the meantime, the company is preparing to debut two Suite Ships next month, the Avalon Poetry II and the Avalon Impression. A third, the Avalon Illumination, will be unveiled in late May. These Suite Ships have two decks of 200-square-foot Panorama Suites. Each has a wall-to-wall, 10-foot-by-7-foot window that, when opened, transforms the entire stateroom into one large, open-air space. Enjoy the fresh air and river vistas as you relax in your suite's spacious sitting area. Beds are positioned so that they face the expansive views. Stateroom touches include fresh flowers, L'Occitane en Provence bath products and deluxe bedding. Elsewhere on board, you'll find a Sky Deck whirlpool, lounge, expanded fitness room and open-air bistro serving grilled specialties for lunch. Avalon's Suite Ships introduced the Panorama Bistro, a casual venue serving tapas-style dishes paired with local wines.
